I don't care what you say, I still have a soft spot for rubber bumpers.

Easier to clean, and the Metro that ran into it in the car park bounced off.

If I'd had chrome bumpers I'd have had a big bill.

But when the car was rebuilt in 2001, it had chrome bumpers. They look better and weigh less.
